Hai Duong youth join hands to build new countryside

On March 12, more than 3,500 youth union members of Hai Duong province simultaneously launched the peak day of "Volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas" with many meaningful projects and tasks, worth up to 250 million VND.

This is a practical activity in response to Youth Month 2023 and to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2023).

Kinh Mon Town Youth Union hosted a provincial-level pilot program in Thang Long Commune with the following works and tasks: cleaning, building “New rural roads that are bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe”; donating trash bins and 1,020 trees to build the model “Youth tree line for a green Vietnam” to contribute to protecting the rural landscape environment. The total cost for the activities was 30 million VND.

On the same day, 100% of the Youth Union units in the province carried out response tasks such as participating in building landscapes, infrastructure and protecting the rural environment; the young intellectual volunteer team supported the transfer of science and technology applied in agricultural production to the people; inspected and guided the collection, treatment and classification of solid waste at the source and gave microbiological products to families; coordinated with Project Team 06 of the commune to continue to propagate and guide people to activate VNeID electronic identification accounts at levels 1 and 2.

As a result, the youth of the whole province launched 3 projects "Lighting up the countryside roads", 1 project "Lighting up the cultural house", presented 2 models of "Youth incubators"; organized 12 propaganda activities against plastic waste; organized 1 activity to support people in using biological products to protect the environment; improved the environmental landscape on inter-village roads; renovated and repaired 20 km of rural roads with a total value of 220 million VND.

The peak day of "Volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas" is a daily activity of the Youth Union, contributing to the implementation of specific goals of the National Target Program on building new rural areas.
