These days, when visiting Con Son for spring, visitors can not only immerse themselves in the warm sound of temple bells and lingering incense smoke, but also immerse themselves in the beautiful, brilliant scenery.
"If I don't come, I'll miss you"
That is the sharing of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tu (over 70 years old, living in Kim Son street, Tan Binh ward, Hai Duong city). Mrs. Tu said that Con Son attracts her not only because of its beautiful landscape but also because of its spiritual value. Every spring, if she has the chance, she comes here to enjoy the spring.
"A few years ago, due to the pandemic and unfavorable conditions, I could not go to Con Son. This year, when I returned, the trees and pagodas were basically the same, but the surrounding landscape was much more beautiful. The flower gardens and trees were green, colorful, and full of life. The atmosphere in the pagoda was also better. People offered incense and performed rituals in an orderly manner, not as chaotic as before," said Ms. Tu.
This year, although he is 84 years old and his health is not good anymore, and he has to move around in a wheelchair most of the time, Mr. Tran Dinh (84 years old, in Dong Da, Hanoi) still goes with his family to Con Son. Mr. Dinh cannot remember how many times he has been to Con Son because for him, spring is not complete if he does not visit Con Son. Mr. Dinh said: "For many years, Con Son has still retained its ancient and sacred beauty, so I really like it. Although I have been there many times, every time I like to listen to the tour guides here introduce the relics. This year, the Relic Management Board displayed pictures and gave specific introductions about the relics and landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac according to the dossier submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a world cultural heritage, so I understand more about the above relics".
Not only attracting older tourists, Con Son also attracts many young people because this is a place to pray for peace and beautiful scenery.
After the ceremony at the pagoda, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh (24 years old, in An Sinh commune, Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh) and his 5 friends visited all the places in the relic site. "This is the second time my friends and I have come to Con Son. Last time we left at noon, but this year, there are many interesting things here so it is now 5 pm that we have ended our spring trip," said Mr. Tuan Anh.
Mr. Tuan Anh said that his group stopped to take photos at the check-in points of the Design Management Board; experienced writing calligraphy, asking for words, and asking for spring luck. In particular, they were quite excited about the wishing tree in front of the bell tower of Con Son Pagoda. Everyone wrote their wishes and hung them on the tree with the hope that they would come true.
Sacred and brilliant space
Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Deputy Head of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Management Board, said that since the end of 2023, the Relic Management Board has carried out many tasks to help visitors have the best experiences when coming to Con Son - Kiep Bac.
