During the year, Chi Linh City organized the Chi Linh - Hai Duong Festival for the first time in 2023, attracting the attention and support of the majority of people, spreading and successfully connecting the series of events of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival.

In 2023, with the attention of all levels, sectors, the Central, localities and people, the construction, restoration and embellishment of Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site has been continuously invested and built. Up to now, many relic items have been and are being completed such as: Completing the construction of the road project to the special national relic site of Kiep Bac (on the right side of the route), the section from An Linh intersection to Kiep Bac temple. Consulting and actively participating with specialized departments of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to report and complete documents and procedures to submit to competent authorities for appraisal of planning tasks and to establish a new master plan for the conservation of the special national relic site of Con Son - Kiep Bac. Deploying the project of the Divine Road, the four-pillar gate, the square house of Kiep Bac temple. Deploying the adjustment of the project to restore and embellish Con Son pagoda. Completing the report proposing the investment policy for the project to build a wharf, Thuong river market, festival yard and parking lot in front of Kiep Bac temple. The Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Management Board continues to focus on collecting investigation and research materials on the relic and famous people of Con Son - Kiep Bac to serve the propaganda work and promote the value of the relic. Regularly propagate on the website of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Management Board. Connect with central and local media units to fully and promptly inform about the agency's events and activities, especially focusing on updating major events of the unit before, during and after the festivals. Maintain propaganda work in many forms such as explaining the relic, posting images, articles, clips about the potential, value, and tourism resources of the relic on the Fanpage, Vietnam Television, Hai Duong Newspaper, Hai Duong Radio - Television... Focus on building appropriate propaganda content, closely following the content introducing special tourism products such as Kiep Bac lotus tea, Con Son chrysanthemum tea, Con Son experience area...

The work of explanation and reception is focused on, constantly upgrading expertise, communication skills, and appropriate behavior. In 2023, the relic welcomed many delegations from the Central Government: Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, heads of central departments and organizations; delegations of guests from inside and outside the province and tourists from all over.

Actively participate in conferences and forums on tourism development of the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association and the province, absorb policies, advise on plans and solutions to stimulate and develop tourism in Con Son - Kiep Bac.

On the journey to become a world heritage

In 2023, Con Son - Kiep Bac of Hai Duong, along with Yen Tu (Quang Ninh), Vinh Nghiem (Bac Giang), will complete the dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a world cultural heritage.

The Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Management Board has actively coordinated and participated in completing and submitting the nomination dossier for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Relic Complex to UNESCO for recognition as a world cultural heritage.

Con Son - Kiep Bac is closely associated with the lives and careers of famous generals and cultural figures such as Tran Nhan Tong, Phap Loa, Huyen Quang, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Tran Nguyen Dan... This is not only a major religious center but also an important military defense line guarding the northeast of Thang Long Capital. Con Son Pagoda from the 13th and 14th centuries was a center of the Truc Lam Zen sect. Kiep Bac Temple was built at the Van Kiep military base of Tran Hung Dao, becoming one of the inner centers of worshiping Saint Tran.

Born and existed for a long time with history, converging the cultures of the regions, Con Son - Kiep Bac has become a treasure trove of tangible and intangible culture, diverse in types, rich in content, the crystallization of countless efforts, thoughts, intelligence, emotions... of generations of fathers and ancestors who have worked hard to cultivate, preserve and protect until today.
