SDU-King team of Sao Do University won the ticket to the national final round
On the afternoon of April 23, the final two matches of Sao Do University took place in the Northern qualifying round of the Vietnam Robot Competition 2023 in Hanoi.
The two teams SDU – Queen and SDU- Pro of Sao Do University respectively met DCN-UBKM of Hanoi University of Industry and SKH-Phoenix of Hung Yen University of Technical Education. The two matches were dramatic, with scores tied, but the two teams of Sao Do University still lost to the other two teams. As a result, with the second place in the group, the SDU-Pro team of Sao Do University advanced to the final round, while the SDU-Queen team stopped at the qualifying round.
Previously, the 3 teams SDU-King, SDU-Lightning and SDU-Win of Sao Do University competed excellently to win tickets to the national final round. Thus, the school has 4 out of 26 best teams in the Northern qualifying round to compete in the national final round held in Nam Dinh next May.

Participating in the Northern regional qualifying round, Sao Do University had 5 teams. The school's teams met strong teams such as University of Economics and Industrial Technology, Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Hung Yen University of Technical Education.
This is the 15th year Sao Do University has participated in this competition. The highest achievement so far is the third prize nationwide in 2019.
The Northern qualifying round of the Vietnam Robot Competition 2023 will take place from April 20-24 in Hanoi. The qualifying round will have 55 teams representing 16 universities and colleges, divided into 14 groups according to the principle that teams from the same school cannot compete in the same group, competing in a single round-robin. The Southern qualifying round will have 12 teams. The teams will compete on April 27 in Ho Chi Minh City. The competition is held again after a 3-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The theme of this year's competition is "Exploring the Ancient Temple", inspired by the long-standing culture of Cambodia. The 32 best teams will enter the national finals. The winning team will represent Vietnam at the ABU Robocon 2023 International Competition in August 2023 in Cambodia.
