The art program "Forever the Marching Song" is not only a music night honoring the feats of the Vietnam People's Army, but also an opportunity for people to be more proud of their nation, arouse love for their homeland, and a desire for peace.
On the evening of December 17, the art program "Forever the Marching Song" honoring generations of soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army took place at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi).
General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the program.
Also attending were: General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; comrades in the Central Military Commission, leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of National Defense; Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and representatives of generals and officers in the People's Army and People's Public Security.
The event was organized by the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security, Ho Guom Theater to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
The art program “Forever the military march” is directed by Major General, People’s Artist Nguyen Cong Bay. Artistic directors include: Mr. Tran Hai Dang, Meritorious Artist Trinh Tung Linh; Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Tran Thi Ut Lan; Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Trinh Anh Thong.
The program features the participation of singers: Pham Thu Ha, Truong Linh, Dao To Loan, Viet Danh, Bao Yen and artists of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, the People's Public Security Music and Dance Theater, and the People's Public Security Ceremonial Group.
In this special art program, the public and music lovers listened to the heroic and vibrant melodies of songs that have gone through the years, songs with themes about life, fighting and protecting the Fatherland of the Vietnam People's Army; songs praising love and national pride, praising the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh...
Those are the melodies of the songs: "The Party gave us a whole spring" by musician Pham Tuyen; the song "The soldiers return to the village" (music by musician Le Yen, poem by Hoang Trung Thong) imbued with the love between the army and the people; the feelings and longing of the soldiers for Uncle Ho through the song "Uncle is marching with us" by musician Huy Thuc.
It is also the special comradeship and brotherhood through the song “Gap nhau tren dinh Truong Son” by musician Hoang Ha; or the sweet and warm image of the girl raising the army through the song “Nội lưu lên em” by musician Huy Du; the songs “Tien buoc duoc quan ky” by musician Doan Nho, “Vi nhan dan forget me” by musician Doan Quang Khai… that have united the hearts of millions of soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Army who wholeheartedly follow the Party, vowing to fight and sacrifice for the people, for the peace of the Fatherland…
The representative of the Organizing Committee said that the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army is a special occasion for us to proudly look back on the glorious journey of our army and people, through the nation's long resistance wars to protect the Fatherland and protect the territorial integrity.
Generations of cadres and soldiers, with their intelligence, courage, determination to fight and win, and not afraid of sacrifice and hardship, have built the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army. This is an endless source of inspiration for generations of artists to create art, giving birth to many works and projects of high ideological and artistic value associated with the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, contributing to enriching the mainstream of Vietnamese revolutionary literature and art, leaving a deep mark on the advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity.
Over the past 80 years, many generations of artists have grown up in the army, attached to and accompanied the growth of the armed forces. The art program "Forever the marching song" is not only a music night honoring the achievements of the Vietnam People's Army, reviewing the proud tradition, and showing gratitude to generations of armed forces who have contributed to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, but also an opportunity for each citizen to feel and be more proud of the nation, arousing love for the homeland and the desire for peace.
