Hai Duong e-newspaper respectfully publishes the full text of the Letter of Inquiry from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the Party Committee, Government and People of Hanoi City regarding the fire at a mini apartment building on Khuong Ha Street, Thanh Xuan District.
On the night of September 12, a fire broke out at a multi-apartment house at No. 37, Lane 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City, causing extremely serious consequences, killing and injuring many people.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a letter of condolences to the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi.

"To: Party Committee, Government and People of Hanoi City,
I am deeply saddened to hear that on the night of September 12, 2023, a fire broke out at a multi-apartment house at No. 37, Lane 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City, causing extremely serious consequences, killing and injuring many people. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I would like to express my deep sympathy, share the loss and pain, and send condolences to the families of the victims.
I welcome and commend the functional forces, along with the people and local authorities of Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi, for urgently rescuing and minimizing damage to people and property.
I request that all sectors and levels urgently overcome the consequences, give priority to treating the injured, have timely policies to help the families of the victims, and soon stabilize the situation to ensure people's lives.
On this occasion, I request that Hanoi City seriously review and learn from this incident; request that the competent authorities investigate and clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals and strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.
Propose that the Prime Minister direct the strengthening of fire prevention and fighting work nationwide, provide guidance and information, and widely propagate on mass media so that people can raise their vigilance and respond promptly to prevent fires and explosions.
