Hackers spare no one

There is a consistent principle that when accessing the Internet, one must accept "living with viruses and hackers". Everyone must be aware of this, not only being vigilant but also knowing how to stay "online".

For decades, Apple devices, from Mac computers to iPhones and iPads, have been considered "safer" by default against viruses and hackers.

There are many reasons for this "advantage" such as: closed operating system, separate closed ecosystem - one world, one world; good security mechanisms, regular updates, smaller market share...

But now, especially since 2024, this has changed in the "new normal". A series of warnings about high-tech crimes attacking Apple devices has made users worried.

There are two questions: either the criminals have gotten smarter and changed their tastes, or Apple's operating system is flawed.

Over the years, Apple has been tirelessly rolling out security patches for its mobile operating systems, and the reality is that it's time for Apple mobile device users to be on alert.

In fact, in addition to operating system errors that allow hackers to penetrate and control devices, in online life there are always countless safety and security risks regardless of device or operating system.

Just gullible users, lack of vigilance and non-compliance with safety principles can easily become victims.

For example, impersonation, fraud, and exploiting user vulnerabilities to penetrate the system, Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac users are all at equal risk. In fact, users of Apple operating systems are even at higher risk because of greater subjectivity.

Of course, the fight against cybercrime and efforts to prevent safety and security risks must be coordinated.

Government agencies, relevant organizations, service providers and users must work together in a coordinated and effective manner. A thick orange peel needs sharp nails. This battle cannot have the desired results without such total coordination.

Most recently, amid the increasing and widespread impact of cyber attacks, on April 7, the Prime Minister issued an official dispatch requesting ministries, branches and localities to strengthen network information security.

Previously, the Prime Minister also issued many documents directing ministries, sectors and localities to strengthen network information security. However, some sectors and fields have not thoroughly grasped and prioritized resources for implementation, leading to incidents causing network information insecurity and potentially affecting the security of Vietnam's cyberspace.

In 2024, cyber security risks will become even more serious with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. AI is a double-edged sword, it can protect the network better but on the contrary, it can also cause more harm to the network.

Therefore, everyone must always update their cyber attack prevention and system resilience capabilities in an environment where AI is everywhere.
