Criteria for promotion to professional title of reporter grade I, II

Reporters are considered for promotion to the professional title of Grade I when they have held the professional title of Grade II reporter (or equivalent) for at least 6 years.

According to Circular 12/2024/TT-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications, from November 7, 2024, reporters will be considered for promotion to the professional title of Grade I when they have held the professional title of Grade II reporter (or equivalent) for at least 6 years.

During the time holding the professional title of Grade II reporter (or equivalent), the reporter has presided over or participated in the implementation of at least 2 works that have won awards at the ministerial, department, branch, provincial level or awards organized by the Party agency at the central level, the socio-political organization at the central level, the Vietnam Journalists Association or presided over at least 2 specialized scientific research topics and programs at the ministerial, provincial level or higher that the agency, unit managing and employing civil servants is assigned to preside over research and development that have been issued or accepted by competent authorities.

During the time holding the professional title of Grade II reporter (or equivalent), the reporter is awarded a certificate of merit or achieves the title of emulation fighter at the ministerial, department, branch, provincial level or higher due to achievements in professional activities.
