The highest Tet bonus for individuals in Ho Chi Minh City for At Ty 2025 is over 1.9 billion VND, lower than last year, but leading more than 20 localities announced.
The above content is included in the 2025 Tet salary and bonus report of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City after recording from 1,570 enterprises with 310,000 employees.
The highest bonus is for a foreign-invested enterprise (FDI) with VND1,908 billion, while the lowest is VND5.9 million. The highest bonus this year decreased compared to last year (VND2,078 billion), but the lowest bonus increased by VND1.1 million from last year. The average bonus this year is VND12.7 million per person, up 3.3% compared to last year (VND12.3 million).
For the 2025 New Year, the highest bonus for one person is 1.8 billion VND, also belonging to an FDI enterprise, the average bonus is 3.4 million VND and the lowest is 300,000 VND.
Meanwhile, in the salary section in 2024, according to the enterprise report, the highest salary the enterprise paid to an employee was 863 million VND per month, the average salary was 12.4 million VND and the lowest was 6.2 million VND. The highest salary this year for an individual decreased compared to last year (931.5 million VND) but the average and lowest increased.
Of the 1,570 businesses that submitted reports, 394 businesses (accounting for 25%) reported difficulties in giving Tet bonuses to employees due to reduced orders, reduced operations, difficulty in collecting debts, interest, etc. However, most businesses tried to give Tet bonuses according to regulations and labor contracts. Many units also gave gifts, vouchers, lucky money, and organized buses to take employees home.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has more than 500,000 enterprises, employing more than 2.5 million workers (calculated according to data with social insurance), of which industrial, export processing and high-tech zones have about 1,800 enterprises employing 250,000 workers.
Before Ho Chi Minh City, more than 20 provinces and cities announced Tet bonuses, of which the highest level of 700 million VND is for individuals belonging to enterprises in Da Nang.
This year, workers will have 9 days off, from December 26 to January 5 (January 25 - February 2, 2025).
