Prime Minister requests to organize online groundbreaking and inauguration of major projects

On April 7, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 33/CD-TTg on organizing groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for key national projects and major works on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The telegram stated: The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the reunification of the country is an opportunity for us to look back at the heroic history of the nation, to look back at the journey of striving to build and develop the country, and at the same time to gain a deeper understanding of the values ​​and lessons learned from the practical struggles of the nation to add strength and determination in the work of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, turning the glorious achievements of the past into a driving force to fulfill the historical mission in the new era - the era of striving, developing prosperity, civilization, happiness and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.

In the jubilant atmosphere of the whole country on this historic holiday, the Government organized online groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies simultaneously in all three regions of the North - Central - South for important works, projects and large works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; it is expected to organize online groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies simultaneously nationwide on April 19, 2025.

This is an important event, the Prime Minister requests:

Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities urgently review and synthesize important projects, major projects of sectors, fields, and provinces (transportation, energy, industry, hospitals, schools, irrigation, digital infrastructure, climate change response, culture, etc.) that meet the prescribed conditions and are expected to start construction and be inaugurated to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and send them to the Government Office for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister before April 12, 2025; report information on projects (name, type, scale, etc.).

The Government Office coordinates with relevant ministries, agencies and provinces and cities to review the list of works and projects mentioned above and report to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision. The Government Office monitors and urges ministries, agencies and localities to carry out the tasks assigned in this dispatch.
