Revoke the 'Beautiful Youth' Award for Nguyen Do Truc Phuong

The official dispatch of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union was sent to the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union in provinces and cities and to news agencies and newspapers.

The content of the dispatch clearly states: On October 11, 2020, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union organized the awarding of the 2020 "Beautiful Youth" Award to 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in various fields.

Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Do Truc Phuong is one of the 27 individuals mentioned above according to Commendation Decision No. 72-QDKT/TWH dated October 5, 2020.

Pursuant to Article 10 of the Regulations amending and supplementing the "Beautiful Youth" Award (Issued with Decision No. 603-QD/TWH dated August 2, 2024), the provisions on the revocation of the award are stipulated in the following cases:"Individuals and collectives are dishonest in declaring achievements; artifacts and awards are used for the wrong purposes or are exploited for illegal purposes; individuals receiving awards commit illegal acts."

Therefore, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union decided to revoke the 2020 "Beautiful Youth" Award for Ms. Nguyen Do Truc Phuong due to violating the law.

It is known that previously, Ho Chi Minh City Police had prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Do Truc Phuong for organizing illegal drug use.

When being honored with the "Beautiful Youth" Award in 2020, Truc Phuong was known to the community as the "charity fairy" because of her beautiful appearance, often doing charity work, and helping people in difficult circumstances.
