Comic writing contest for a chance to go to France

With the desire to find more Vietnamese comic book authors and artists, the French Institute in Vietnam and Kim Dong Publishing House jointly organize a comic book creation contest. The time to receive entries is from June 1 to November 1, 2024.

With the theme of free writing, the contest is open to professional and non-professional authors who are Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and over, living, working, and studying in and outside the country. The content of the writing is for readers aged 13 and over.

Regarding the prize structure, the organizers will award the first prize as a 7-day trip (including travel time) to attend the Angoulême Comics Festival, France and visit some bookstores in Paris from January 25 to January 31, 2025.

Angoulême Comic Festival is considered one of the three largest comic festivals in the world, attracting more than 1,500 guests and 200,000 attendees each time.

In addition, the contest will also award second prizes worth 15 million VND, third prizes worth 10 million VND and consolation prizes worth 5 million VND, along with certificates. The final round and award ceremony is expected to be in December 2024.
