On September 9-10, at the Imperial Academy - Hue Citadel, MH RAROMA Company coordinated with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to organize a series of cultural exchange events between Vietnam and Japan HUE MATSURI 2023 with the theme "Comic City" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Ms. Mai Hoai Giang, Head of the Organizing Committee of the event series, President of MH RAROMA Company, said that through the integration of Manga Anime - a culture, a traditional industry typical of Japan with the image of the Ancient Capital and Hue Citadel - a symbol of Vietnamese culture and tradition, the Organizing Committee hopes to create a connection and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan, thereby promoting cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam in the Central region.
The event contributed to bringing a new breeze to the city, putting Hue on the map of famous cities in the field of Manga Anime in the world, becoming the first Manga city in Vietnam.
Deputy Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung said that the HUE MATSURI 2023 event is the highlight of the Autumn Festival within the framework of Hue Festival 2023, attracting a large community to participate, especially young people.
With many activities such as exchanges, performances, dialogues on the comic industry, etc., the event contributes to creating a unique cultural exchange space, combining the historical beauty of Hue Royal Court with Japanese comic culture. This event is one of the meaningful activities marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
HUE MATSURI 2023 is the first event held in Hue with comics as the main theme.
The event series includes many attractive activities such as: visiting book stalls, Manga Anime merchandise stalls, Japanese-Vietnamese consumer products stalls; experiencing free Digital Manga drawing, introducing Manga production stages and outstanding works, introducing opportunities for in-depth study and research in the field of Manga Anime; awarding "Manga Artist of the Year" with a total prize value of over 300 million VND; taking free photos with famous Manga Anime characters, art performances, dialogues with comic experts...
Coming to the event, visitors and residents not only get to participate in a series of useful activities, receive attractive gifts at more than 20 booths from famous brands, but also have the opportunity to interact with artists and Manga experts from Vietnam and Japan.
The public will also be able to directly participate in talks and autograph signings by Vietnamese author Kien Duy and international Manga expert Hirayanagi from Japan about the creativity and behind-the-scenes stories of the billion-dollar comic industry.
In addition, the grand, elaborately staged music stage called "Manganiac night" promises to immerse the audience in a sublime musical space with genres of Rock, Pop, Ballad... performed by beloved artists such as Pile, Thai Trinh, Lena, RedLight Band.
The series of events brings the public interesting experiences when discovering the ancient and poetic beauty of the ancient capital of Hue; at the same time, it inspires many people who are learning and interested in the historical value and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan.
