Tochka missile hits Russian city of Belgorod, killing at least 19 people

At least 19 people have been killed in a Tochka missile attack on the city of Belgorod in southwestern Russia.

Russia's TASS news agency reported on May 13 that at least 19 people were killed in a Tochka missile attack on the southwestern city of Belgorod a day earlier.

Hundreds of homes were damaged in the attack, including a 10-story apartment building that partially collapsed.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said rescuers had found 15 bodies in the rubble of the 10-story apartment building.

The attack also killed four people in other areas, injured 27, damaged five cars and several power lines.

Authorities have arranged for 36 people whose homes were damaged in the attack to be evacuated to temporary shelters, while many people in and outside Belgorod have gone to stay with relatives.
