Cement ship without registration number illegally exploits sand on Van Uc river

Authorities discovered about 23 cubic meters of sand in the hold of an unregistered ship on the Van Uc River, Thanh Cuong Commune (Thanh Ha, Hai Duong).

At 1:45 a.m. on February 21, while performing the task of patrolling and controlling the prevention of illegal exploitation of natural resources and minerals on the Van Uc River, through Thanh Cuong Commune (Thanh Ha), the Working Group of the Dong Canal Station, under the Waterway Police Team, Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, discovered an unregistered cement ship illegally exploiting sand from the riverbed to the ship's hold.

At the time of discovery, the ship driver, Mr. Le Sy Thanh (born in 1988, in Thanh Cuong commune, Thanh Ha) could not present documents related to the vehicle, professional certificates and sand mining activities as prescribed. Through inspection and measurement, the Working Group determined that the ship's hold contained about 23m3sand.

The working group made a record of the incident, took the vehicle to the detention facility, and invited the people involved to the headquarters to work according to regulations.
