Ngay Nay is the first electronic magazine in Vietnam to officially charge online fees for articles with high quality content.

On March 29, Ngay Nay e-magazine (ngaynay.vn) officially launched an online paid newspaper. This is the first time an e-magazine in Vietnam has applied digital financial technology to interact and seek support from readers.
Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. on March 29, 2021, to be able to read and store some articles in the Special Today section of the Ngay Nay e-Magazine, readers will need to make electronic payments.
Readers accessing ngaynay.vn will have the option to pay for their favorite articles through the payment platform ViettelPay, Bank Plus, ATM cards of more than 40 domestic banks, international cards such as Visa, Master Card, JCB, American Express.
In the near future, the editorial office will continue to add the most popular online payment platforms, serving the maximum public in Vietnam such as through the Napas connection platform, SMS text messages and especially payment via Mobile Money.
The paid articles in the Special Today section are high quality articles, carefully invested by a team of experts, scientists, and famous writers at home and abroad.
Readers can choose the payment method to read articles by article, by week, by month, by quarter, by year. For only 180 thousand VND/year, readers can log in and read, store all special articles on the Today e-Magazine.
At the launching ceremony, journalist Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency affirmed that there are still many difficulties in implementing electronic newspaper fee collection in Vietnam, especially regarding payment issues.
"But the initial steps of Ngay Nay are an encouragement to us, the first people to implement this form. If we have more people following this path, I think it will open up a more professional way of producing and distributing content. Charging for online newspapers will help us produce truly high-quality content and we can attract readers to pay to prove that we have created good content," the Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency affirmed.
With this event, Ngay Nay is the first electronic magazine in Vietnam to collect online fees. For the first time in Vietnam, there will be an editorial office with a free print edition, while the electronic edition will have a fee-based method.
In addition, a portion of the fees collected by Ngay Nay will be used to promote the communication activities of the Network of Community Development Initiatives (NICE).
