On September 2, the People's Committee of Le Thuy district (Quang Binh province) organized a traditional boat racing and rowing festival on Kien Giang river to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and Independence Day. This year's festival attracted 24 men's rowing boats and 9 women's rowing boats from communes and towns of Le Thuy district with the participation of more than 1,000 male and female athletes. The men's rowing boat has 24 participating teams divided into 2 groups A and B. On September 2, Indonesian President Joko Widodo delivered the opening speech at the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) in Bali. More than 1,400 delegates attended the event from various stakeholders and organizations, including representatives from governments, the private sector, academia, and Indonesian ambassadors and honorary consuls in several African countries. The head of Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panakhov, announced on September 2 that the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) had won the most seats in the country's early parliamentary elections on September 1. Preliminary results based on 91 percent of the votes counted, after 5,895 polling stations announced results, showed that candidates from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party had won 68 of the 125 seats in the new parliament.
