The number of people dead and missing due to storm No. 3 and floods increased to 59 people

Over 1,500 aquaculture cages were damaged and swept away; 79 livestock and 190,131 poultry were lost. 25 boats of various types sank at their anchorages in Quang Ninh. Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, and Hanoi suffered widespread power and communication outages.

Due to the long duration of the storm and the sustained intensity of the storm, very strong gusts of wind damaged 9,851 houses; 12 500kV power lines, 36 220kV power lines, 161 110kV power lines and many low-voltage power poles were broken; many shops, offices, schools had their roofs blown off or were damaged; many advertising signs, telecommunications poles, mobile broadcasting stations were broken; urban trees were uprooted and broken on the roads in the provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hanoi, etc. Localities are continuing to review and count the damage.

Warning, from September 9-11, there will be 1 flood on other rivers in the Northern region. During this flood, the flood peak on small rivers in the northern mountainous provinces, especially in Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh, Son La provinces will reach level 2-3, with some rivers above level 3. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to floods: Level 3.

Currently, the provinces of Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, and Lao Cai are implementing measures to respond to floods; evacuating people from flooded and low-lying areas affected by floods; ensuring the safety of people's lives and property and the State.
