At the Transport Hospital, where the 6 victims of the fire were admitted for emergency treatment, Dr. Bui Giang (Head of the Emergency Department) said that the hospital received the first emergency case about 2 hours later. The 84-year-old victim was admitted to the hospital in a state of agitation, difficulty breathing, and respiratory failure. Currently, the patient also has lung damage, respiratory failure, high-flow oxygen, and burns.

At 2:30 a.m., the hospital admitted two victims, a married couple. At the time of admission, the two patients had difficulty breathing, lung damage, and mild respiratory failure. When they discovered the fire, they went into the bathroom, covered their noses and mouths with wet towels, and waited for the rescue team to arrive instead of running outside to escape the flames.

Currently, both husband and wife are conscious and able to talk.

Around 6:30-7:00, the hospital received 3 more victims from the same family. The mother and her children all showed signs of headaches, fatigue, and weak breathing.

This morning, the Minister of Health asked the Transport Hospital to make every effort to treat the patients. In addition, Bach Mai Hospital will provide professional support to this medical facility in treating seriously ill patients. The most serious case, an 84-year-old woman, continues to be treated at the Transport Hospital, with no plans to transfer her to another hospital.
