Launching the new Range Rover Velar in Vietnam

Land Rover Vietnam has officially introduced the new Range Rover Velar with a series of upgrades in design, equipment and technology.

At the launch ceremony of the Range Rover Velar, Mr. Ruud Poels, Managing Director of Land Rover Vietnam, said: “I am delighted to officially introduce the new Range Rover Velar in Vietnam today. This model represents a pioneering philosophy, with sophisticated and meticulously cared details; the design of the Range Rover Velar is both attractive and captivating. I believe this is an attractive product and of strategic importance to Land Rover in Vietnam."

Design is still the highlight of the Range Rover Velar line with a minimalist philosophy, especially this is further enhanced in the interior space with modern equipment, notably the 11.4-inch curved touch screen integrated into the center console, providing instant control.

The car is also pioneered with the Active Road Noise Cancellation system, and is added with a plug-in hybrid version.

The new Range Rover Velar features a new front grille with jewel-effect Pixel LED headlights, and a powerfully dry rear end that creates balance and emphasises length. A prominent shoulder line adds to the powerful stance, while a lower rear bumper improves proportions with concealed exhaust outlets, while new LED tail lights add to this sophistication with a striking 3D design.

The car's interior is minimalist and crafted using new premium materials and craftsmanship, the upgraded Pivi Pro7 infotainment system features an 11.4-inch curved glass display, and two new color options have been added to the exterior palette: Varesine Blue Metallic and Premium Zadar Gray Metallic.

The vehicle features easy-to-see controls for front passenger individual temperature, audio volume and Terrain Response modes, and the instrument cluster features a Pre-Drive control panel for quick access to frequently used features.

The next-generation infotainment system delivers the most user-friendly technology experience possible. The in-car audio system features Road Noise Cancellation technology and Meridian 3D surround sound with up to 17 speakers and up to 750W of amplification.

The Range Rover Velar has three powertrain options, most notably the P400e electric hybrid version, combined with advanced chassis and suspension systems to provide a smooth ride, keeping the car stable on rough roads.

The P400e version has a 105kW electric motor combined with an Ingenium petrol engine, with an expected actual range of up to 51 km, and increases to 684 km when taking advantage of the plug-in hybrid system.

With a total output of 404 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque from a 300 horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine combined with a 105 kW electric motor, the Range Rover Velar P400e is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds), with a top speed of 209 km/h.

The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is now mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which offers smoother gearshifts. The P250 version delivers 250PS and 365Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds (0-60mph in 7.1 seconds), CO2 emissions from 211g/km and fuel consumption of up to 9.3l/100km (30.4mpg)10.

The Ingenium P340 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine delivers 340PS and 480Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0-100km/h in 6.3 seconds (0-60mph in 6.0 seconds).
