National Assembly discusses draft law on juvenile justice and anti-human trafficking

Continuing the 7th Session, today (June 8), the National Assembly will spend the last working day of the first session discussing the document on the accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership; the draft Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); the draft Law on Juvenile Justice; the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended)...

At the beginning of the morning session, the National Assembly will hear the President present a proposal to ratify the document of accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Next, the Minister of Industry and Trade, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the explanatory report on the document of accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; the Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee presented the report on the examination of the ratification of the document of accession to this agreement.

Afterwards, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the proposal to ratify the document of accession of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

During the remaining time, the National Assembly will discuss in groups the draft Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended) and the draft Law on Juvenile Justice.

In the afternoon session, the National Assembly will vote to pass the Resolution on the Law and Ordinance Building Program for 2025, adjust the Law and Ordinance Building Program for 2024, and vote to pass the Resolution on the National Assembly's Supervision Program for 2025.

Next, the National Assembly discussed in groups the investment policy of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period and the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended).

From June 9 to June 16, 2024, the National Assembly will be on recess so that National Assembly agencies, the Government and relevant agencies can absorb, revise and complete draft laws and draft resolutions.

The second session of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly will continue from June 17 to June 28, 2024.

As expected, in the second phase of the 7th Session, the National Assembly will continue to discuss many important contents such as: Investment policy for the North-South Expressway construction investment project in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section; adjusting the investment policy for the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030; Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050...

Also in the upcoming second session, the National Assembly will discuss the draft Law on Notarization (amended); the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended); the draft Law on Trade Unions (amended); the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Pharmacy; the draft Law on Cultural Heritage (amended); the draft Law on Geology and Minerals; the draft Law on Urban and Rural Planning; the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; the draft Law on People's Air Defense; the draft Law on Notarization (amended); the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended).

Notably, in the upcoming session, the National Assembly will vote to pass a number of laws such as: Law on Archives (amended); Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law on Social Insurance (amended); Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on the Capital (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Security Guards.
