The two spring rice fields of Ms. Dong Thi Tuoi's family in La Doi village, Hop Tien commune (Nam Sach) have grown well. Ms. Tuoi said that without the support of the women in the village, the two spring rice fields would not have taken root and grown so quickly. "After Tet, although everyone in the family was busy racing against the season, the women took some time to level the fields and quickly sow two rice fields while I was sick and had to stay in the hospital," Ms. Tuoi said.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Vui, President of the Women's Union of Nam Sach District, this is a regular activity of women in many localities in the district. Not only supporting members in farming and housework during difficult times, Nam Sach women also give love to many families of women in difficult circumstances through specific activities such as: supporting loans, finding jobs, building a "Green House" model to turn trash into money to support poor women in difficult circumstances.

One of the two breakthrough projects registered and implemented by the Women's Union of Nam Sach district this year is to spread women's love to the community. That is to implement the program "Godmother - connecting love". In 2023, the Women's Union of Nam Sach district at all levels coordinated to mobilize philanthropists to sponsor 142 out of a total of 146 orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the district, an increase of 53 children supported compared to 2022. Each month, the children receive support from 200,000 - 500,000 VND for a period of 1-3 years.

Following Uncle Ho's teachings, members of the Women's Union at all levels in the province have carried out many programs to connect love, promote the spirit of "helping each other", and help the unfortunate.

Many people call Ms. Vu Thi Huynh in Chau Quan village, Doan Ket commune (Thanh Mien) a mother with many children. Ms. Huynh sponsors 100 orphans in the province. Ms. Huynh said: “As a mother, I feel the lack of warm embraces from parents for orphans. Therefore, although life is still difficult, I still try to accompany and continue to support them so that they can partly compensate for the difficulties and deprivations in life.”

In 2023, the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union implemented many social security programs, sharing love with the disadvantaged. The Women's Union at all levels mobilized more than 5 billion VND to visit and give gifts to poor women, women's families in difficult circumstances, and orphans. Women's Union members at all levels donated more than 1.8 billion VND to build 22 charity houses for women's families in difficult circumstances... Through the Women's Union at all levels, the whole province also had nearly 400 orphans sponsored, bringing the total number of orphans in Hai Duong to 1,115 with a total committed support amount of more than 10 billion VND.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu, President of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association, said: “Giving love to children will bring joy and happiness. That joy is small, but it is a way for Hai Duong businesswomen to show their responsibility to the community. The Hai Duong Women Entrepreneurs Association has committed to accompanying 35 orphans in the province for 5 years with a total amount of more than 1.5 billion VND.”

In Hai Duong, models such as "Women's group doing humanitarian and charity work", "Green house", "Rice savings jar to help poor women" have really spread and become a bridge of love, building a spirit of mutual love, solidarity and unity among women in the East.

Ms. Phung Thi Hao, a member of the Women's Union of Duc Chinh Commune (Cam Giang) said: "I help wherever I can. On the occasion of the recent Giap Thin Tet holiday, I gave 1 ton of carrots to 200 poor women's families and orphans in the district to celebrate Tet. When I gave the gifts, many women told me that the carrots would be used to make salads and fried spring rolls for Tet, so I felt warm inside."

Last year, Hai Duong had many meaningful social security activities to help support people in difficult circumstances, including significant contributions from women.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thao, President of the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union, said that in 2024, the Women's Union at all levels in the province will continue to effectively carry out the emulation movement "Building Hai Duong women to be confident, compassionate, dynamic, creative, and have aspirations for development". Carrying out social security activities, building models to help poor women, women in difficult circumstances, and supporting orphans are also ways for women members in the whole province to effectively carry out the humanitarian content in this emulation movement.
