Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just asked Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Huong Giang to check the information reported by the press on November 22 about the Director and Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Ninh spending 2-3 days a week playing golf, all during working hours.
Regarding this matter, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to check the information reported by the press and strictly handle violations (if any) to ensure discipline and administrative order.
In addition, the Government leader requested that localities report the results to the Prime Minister before November 30, 2023.
On the same morning, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also issued a press release about the above incident.
The announcement stated that Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Huong Giang had received information about the reflection of a number of officials and civil servants in the area playing golf during working hours.
The leaders of Bac Ninh province have requested relevant officials and civil servants to provide specific explanations and directed competent authorities to verify, clarify, and strictly handle any violations.
"After verification and handling results, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province will promptly provide information to press agencies according to regulations," the announcement stated.
Previously, some newspapers published information that Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Ninh, Dang Tran Trung, was present at the golf course with many others, including the Deputy Director of the department, Mr. Dang Cong Huong. These newspapers said that Mr. Trung went to play golf during working hours and was not present at the office.
