Developing Phu Yen province into a rich and peaceful land

Many positive results

Reporting to the National Assembly Chairman and the Central working delegation, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Cao Thi Hoa An stated that with the attention and support of the Central Government, the National Assembly, the Government and central ministries and branches, the entire provincial political system has promoted the tradition of solidarity, responsibility, joint efforts, and determination to successfully carry out local political tasks.

Up to now, 11/15 targets set by the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress have been well implemented and are likely to achieve the plan; in 2023 alone, the province will achieve and exceed 16/17 main targets set. Party building and political system building continue to be focused on all aspects.

In 2023, the province's economic growth exceeded the set plan, ranking 10th in the country. Key national projects in the province were focused on with the highest efforts and determination. The cultural and social fields had positive changes, social security was ensured; the material and spiritual life of the people was improved. National defense and security were strengthened and maintained...

In 2024, the province will focus on synchronously and drastically implementing tasks on Party building and the political system, in conjunction with leading the preparation and organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term towards the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress; focusing on implementing key national projects in the area; implementing the concretization of approved plans and investment promotion in all fields in accordance with the plan, especially attracting projects to the Hoa Tam area, Bai Goc port, etc.

In order to create conditions for the province to exploit and promote the province's potential and strengths, and gradually become self-sufficient in the state budget, the province proposed that the Chairman of the National Assembly direct the continued addition of the list of projects on the remaining provincial coastal road, from the central budget support of about 2,200 billion VND, to the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; pay attention to adding the list of routes connecting the expressway in the province to the Central's medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; consider and direct the addition of the list of projects to prevent and combat riverbank and coastal erosion in dangerous landslide areas in the province to the Central's medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030...

At the working session, leaders of the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries and branches highly appreciated the achievements that Phu Yen province has achieved in recent times; suggested that the province should promote a number of issues related to public investment, investment attraction, digital transformation, etc. Leaders of central ministries and branches and departments and bureaus under the National Assembly Office answered the province's recommendations and problems regarding transport infrastructure, socio-economic development, etc.

Exploit potential well for development

Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his joy and impression of the strong changes in Phu Yen in recent times. On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, and the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged, praised, and congratulated the Party Committee, government, and people of the province.

Regarding the direction and tasks in 2024 and the coming time, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested the Party Committee, government and people of the province to continue to effectively implement the resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government, focusing on Resolution 26 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions to 2030, with a vision to 2045; strive to successfully carry out the province's political tasks in 2024 and for the entire term.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue suggested that after the planning announcement ceremony, Phu Yen should urgently deploy solutions to effectively implement the four key tasks and development breakthroughs that have been identified; continue to innovate the growth model associated with promoting economic restructuring associated with exploiting and maximizing the province's potentials and strengths in accordance with the development motto: 1 spearhead - 2 corridors - 3 pillars - 4 foundations - 5 key tasks.

Emphasizing that Phu Yen has many potentials and advantages for developing industry and tourism, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue suggested that the province should exploit this well to continue calling for and attracting investment in large projects; at the same time, exploit more cultural factors in tourism development, diversify products and types of tourism, and raise the status of Phu Yen destination on the domestic and world tourism map. The province needs to strive to balance the budget sooner; prioritize resources for infrastructure investment, urban development and urban economic integration... to develop Phu Yen province into a prosperous and peaceful land.

Acknowledging and agreeing with the province's proposals and recommendations, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue noted that the province needs to closely coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to develop and submit plans for the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government to decide according to their authority, in the spirit of creating favorable conditions for local development.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Dai Duong spoke to accept the instructions of the National Assembly Chairman to lead and direct the implementation of local political tasks. In the coming time, the province will continue to coordinate with the central ministries and branches, determined to lead and direct the serious and effective implementation of the instructions of the National Assembly Chairman, strive to achieve the highest results in implementing the local political tasks in 2024 and successfully implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, build Phu Yen province to be more and more developed, Phu Yen people to be more and more prosperous and happy.

On this occasion, from the mobilization of the National Assembly Chairman, the National Assembly delegation presented Phu Yen province with 10 billion VND to build a primary school and supported 5 billion VND to build 100 houses for poor households.
