On December 18, the postage stamp set 'Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th Anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024)' was decided to be issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications and coordinated with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to organize a special issuance ceremony in Hanoi.

Speaking at the event, Mr. La Hoang Trung, Director of the Postal Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that the postage stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day is a continuation of the postage stamp sets that the information and communications sector has issued.

This postage stamp set continues to make a small contribution to convey to international friends and peace-loving people around the world the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, which has been, is and will always be an army 'Born from the people, fighting for the people'.

According to the Stamp Department, Vietnam Post Corporation, the stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day includes 4 designs measuring 43 x 32 mm, with face values ​​of 4,000 VND, 4,000 VND, 4,000 VND and 15,000 VND, respectively.

Designed by artist Nguyen Du in a concise graphic style, with consistent content and images, arranged in chronological order, the stamp set is provided on the postal network from December 18, 2024 to June 30, 2026.

Artist Nguyen Du said: The stamp set represents the history and heroic tradition in the struggle for national independence and the modernization journey of the Vietnam People's Army.

The layout of the stamp set is designed to highlight the main meaning of each stamp. The logo commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army is arranged throughout the stamps.
