According to the general planning task, the new urban area of Tu Cuong - Cao Thang, Thanh Mien district (Hai Duong) will be a town before 2030.
Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has decided to approve the general planning task of the new urban area of Tu Cuong - Cao Thang, Thanh Mien district until 2045 (adjusted from the general planning task of urban construction of Tu Cuong, Thanh Mien district until 2040).
Accordingly, Thanh Mien District People's Committee organized the task establishment. Hai Duong Urban and Rural Construction Planning Joint Stock Company consulted on the planning task establishment.
Tu Cuong - Cao Thang new urban area is located in the southwest of Thanh Mien district. To the north, it borders Le Hong commune and Thanh Mien town; to the south, it borders Chi Lang Bac commune; to the east, it borders Ngu Hung commune and Thanh Mien town; to the west, it borders Hung Yen province.
The new urban area of Tu Cuong-Cao Thang includes the entire natural area of two communes, which is 1,520.16 hectares. The urban population is forecasted to be about 20,457 people by 2030; about 24,142 people by 2040; and about 25,576 people by 2045.
According to the planning, Tu Cuong - Cao Thang urban area will be a type V urban area, striving to establish a town before 2030 in accordance with the provincial planning. This will be a district-level specialized center for economics, culture, education and training, health care, and a traffic hub that plays a role in promoting the district's economic development.
