On the morning of May 18, on National Highway 5, at the Co Dung intersection, Kim Thanh (Hai Duong), a tractor-trailer ran a red light and caused an accident, injuring a 64-year-old woman riding an electric motorbike.

At around 6:00 a.m. on May 18, Mr. NVƯ. born in 1986 in Tan Lien commune, Vinh Bao district (Hai Phong) drove a tractor-trailer on National Highway 5 (Hai Phong - Hanoi direction) in the lane close to the median strip. When reaching km 64+650, Co Dung traffic light intersection (Kim Thanh), this car collided with an electric motorbike (without a license plate) driven by Ms. NTN born in 1964 in Co Dung commune, who was going from Hai Phong - Hanoi direction, turning around at the intersection.
As a result, Ms. N. was injured and taken to Hai Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred to 108 Military Central Hospital for treatment of traumatic brain injury and maxillofacial trauma. Authorities determined the initial cause was that the tractor-trailer driver did not comply with traffic light signals, causing the accident.
