At around 8:00 a.m. on April 3, while traveling on Highway 5 from Hanoi to Hai Phong, a truck carrying paint suddenly had an accident, paint spilled all over the road, causing traffic congestion on Highway 5.
At that time, Mr. PQD, born in 1992, from Thuong Tin district (Hanoi), was driving a car 29H-195.43 carrying paint on National Highway 5, in the direction from Hanoi to Hai Phong. When he reached the area of Phu Thai town (Kim Thanh), he collided with a tanker truck carrying gasoline going in the same direction ahead.
After the collision, the driver of the truck carrying paint suffered minor injuries and chest pain, and the front of the truck cabin was severely damaged. Many cans of paint were spilled on the road.
The tanker driver fled immediately after the accident.
The accident caused traffic congestion on Highway 5.
