Some Nissan dealers have started taking deposits for the Nissan Patrol in Vietnam, with an expected selling price of 4 billion VND and competing directly with the Toyota Land Cruiser.
After many years of being "unrivaled" in Vietnam, Toyota Land Cruiser is about to have an official competitor when Nissan Patrol is about to be imported, and sales consultants are also taking deposits at dealerships. However, this model is not yet known to many ordinary users because it is mainly sold in foreign markets and the brand has difficulty competing with its rival from Toyota.
Many sales consultants from dealers in Hanoi have simultaneously received deposits for the Nissan Patrol and said that the car has an expected selling price of 4 billion VND and will be officially sold in the second quarter of next year. However, other information about the car has not been revealed, the car will certainly continue to be imported completely from abroad similar to the 3 current products of Nissan in Vietnam but it is not clear from which market.
Globally, the Nissan Patrol has always been considered the main rival of the Toyota Land Cruiser, which was first launched in Japan in 1951 and was upgraded to its 7th generation in September 2024. In the Middle East, the large SUV is sold at a starting price of AED 239,900 (about VND 1.66 billion), but according to many experts in the auto industry, the Nissan Patrol is unlikely to surprise its rival.
The new generation Nissan Patrol is equipped with a V6 engine with 2 capacity options: 3.8 liter naturally aspirated to produce a maximum capacity of 316 horsepower and maximum torque of 386 Nm, or 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged capacity for a maximum capacity of up to 425 horsepower and maximum torque of 700 Nm. In addition, the car is also equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive, along with a suspension system capable of raising/lowering the chassis up to 140mm.
The exterior of the Nissan Patrol is also designed in a square and massive shape, but towards modernity and luxury. In the interior, the car is equipped with a digital clock cluster seamlessly integrated with an entertainment screen, up to 28.6 inches in size, along with many notable amenities such as: Leather seats with heating/cooling/massage functions, panoramic sunroof, HUD screen, 12-speaker Klipsch sound system...
However, many domestic consumers believe that Nissan Patrol will only be imported in small quantities in Vietnam, and there is a possibility that the price will be increased similar to the current Land Cruiser (increased from 500 - 700 million VND at the dealer). Nissan is being distributed in Vietnam through VAD company, currently the company only has a product line with 3 models: Almera, Navara and Kicks.
