The achievements of Hai Duong province have significant contributions from female cadres.

On the afternoon of October 16, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Committee for the Advancement of Women of Hai Duong province held a meeting with key female leaders at all levels and Chairmen of the Women's Unions of districts, towns, and cities in the province on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

Comrades: Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the People's Council and People's Committee of Hai Duong province attended the meeting.

Attending the meeting were 100 female leaders managing agencies and units in the province, key female leaders, Chairmen of Women's Unions of districts, towns and cities in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the provincial leaders, wished all female leaders and managers to always be young, united, intelligent, happy and progressive.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang affirmed that over the years, the Party, the State and Hai Duong province have always paid attention to women's activities in general and female leaders at all levels in particular. The socio-economic achievements of Hai Duong province in recent times have had significant contributions from female cadres in the province.

Moving towards Party Congresses at all levels, to ensure the proportion of female cadres according to Central regulations, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that female leaders need to pay attention to, train, and introduce female cadres to Party committees and leaders at all levels to have a plan to arrange appropriate female cadres.

On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang mentioned a number of typical women in the province who have demonstrated the role of women well, gradually eliminating the ideology of "being content with one's fate", showing the beautiful image of Hai Duong women who are confident, kind, dynamic, creative, and have aspirations for development.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang hopes that with the attention of the Party Committee and government, each woman must try harder in her work so that the province's women's movement will become better and better.

In recent years, the number and quality of female leaders in Hai Duong province has been increasing. The proportion of women participating in Party committees and People's Councils at all three levels in the following term is higher than the previous term.

Currently, the percentage of women participating in the provincial Party Committee is 15.38%; at the district level is 19.45%; and at the grassroots level is 19.39%. Female cadres participating in the Standing Committee at the provincial level are 1/15 comrades (6.67%), at the district level are 16/141 comrades (11.35%), and at the grassroots level are 94/873 comrades (10.7%). The percentage of women participating in the People's Council at the provincial level is 28.57%, and at the district level is 26.78%.
