Speaking at a press conference, Tel Aviv Regional Commander Haim Sargarof said police found explosive devices on another bus in neighboring Holon and in a Tel Aviv suburb. Bomb disposal units are working to defuse them. Commander Sargarof stressed that this was a large-scale incident that occurred simultaneously in at least five locations. Security forces were quickly deployed to these locations.

According to Mr. Sargarof, the explosive devices were all equipped with timers. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Following the incident, light rail service in the Tel Aviv area was temporarily suspended as security forces searched for additional suspicious devices. Public transportation across the country was also suspended as the Ministry of Transport ordered bus drivers and train conductors to stop their vehicles for security checks.
