When completed, Lai Xuan Bridge will be the fourth project connecting Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province (a locality planned to become a centrally-governed city by 2030).
In order to create an inter-regional transport system to serve people's travel needs... in early 2023, the City People's Committee...Hai Phonghas started the investment project to build Lai Xuan bridge and renovate and expand provincial road 352.
The investment project to build Lai Xuan bridge and renovate and expand provincial road 352 has a total investment of nearly 1,350 billion VND. This project is building a new Lai Xuan bridge across Da Bach river, connecting Thuy Nguyen district (Hai Phong city) with Dong Trieu city (Quang Ninh province).
Lai Xuan Bridge is 840 m long, 12 m wide, with a reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete structure.
Currently, the main Lai Xuan bridge has been basically formed, however the approach road to the bridge is still being urgently completed.
People in the surrounding area who want to cross the Da Bach River still have to take the Lai Xuan ferry, about 50 meters from the bridge construction area.
Along with Lai Xuan bridge, this project also renovates and expands provincial road 352 with a length of 14 km and a roadbed cross-section of 12 m wide.
Currently, on provincial road 352, materials and vehicles are gathered on both sides of the road with many workers organizing construction.
According to plan, the project to build Lai Xuan bridge and renovate and expand provincial road 352 will strive to be completed in 2024.
When this project is completed, Lai Xuan Bridge will be the fourth construction connecting Hai Phong city with Quang Ninh province. Previously, there were 3 bridges connecting these two localities: Bach Dang Bridge, Da Bac Bridge, Ben Rung Bridge. In the photo is Bach Dang Bridge
According to the 2021 - 2030 period planning, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister: Quang Ninh province will become a centrally-governed city by 2030.
