Enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the 800 billion VND road connecting Quang Ninh - Lang Son

After more than a year of construction, the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 342 connecting Ha Long - Ba Che - Lang Son has been completed, meeting the progress, quality and requirements for convenient connection between regions.

The route is designed according to grade 3 mountainous standards, including 2 lanes, 9m wide, 20.9km long, implemented on the basis of the old route.

The designed route includes 4 bridges: Thac Da, Thac Cha, Khe Lu, Khe Lao and 1 intersection with provincial road 330. The project has a total investment of more than 800 billion VND from the Quang Ninh provincial budget.

The starting point of the route is at km37+500 (border between Ha Long city and Ba Che district, Quang Ninh), the end point is at km58+405 (Lieu pass area bordering Bac Lang commune, Dinh Lap district, Lang Son province).

The route is a continuous road corridor between Ha Long City, Ba Che district of Quang Ninh with Lang Son and Bac Giang provinces.

Previously, to go from Ha Long to Lang Son, people had to travel 174km on a detour at Yen Than intersection (Tien Yen district) in nearly 4 hours. This route significantly reduces the distance, travel time to more than 2 hours.

Mr. Luu Ba Mac, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son, said that the development of transport infrastructure plays an important role in tourism development. When transport is convenient, tourists will have easier access to tourist destinations.

Furthermore, this route also plays an important role in attracting tourists to Lang Son Geopark.
