Enhance the responsibility of leaders in implementing solid waste treatment projects

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just requested relevant departments, branches, units, and district-level People's Committees to continue directing and implementing the Project "Treatment of domestic solid waste in Hai Duong province for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030" (referred to as the project) according to assigned functions and tasks. Review and evaluate the results achieved, arising difficulties and problems, propose solutions to overcome and adjust them to suit the reality. Promote the role of the head in implementing the assigned project contents and be responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the assigned tasks.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment guides and inspects the classification of domestic solid waste at source in Nam Sach district and communes implementing the pilot model of waste classification at source (Cam Van commune, Cam Giang district and Thanh Hai commune, Thanh Ha district). Coordinates with the Provincial People's Committee to arrange funds for treatment and environmental improvement of state-managed domestic solid waste landfills and spontaneous domestic solid waste landfills in the province that must be closed according to regulations. Coordinates in evaluating the effectiveness of waste classification models at source and organic composting activities to serve as a basis for advising and proposing activities for collection, treatment and classification of domestic solid waste at source.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned departments, branches and localities to carry out relevant tasks according to regulations.
