Nam Dinh leads the country in math scores, Hanoi misses top 10 for three consecutive years

This year, Nam Dinh continues to lead the country in average math scores, Binh Duong ranks second, followed by Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Phuc and Ninh Binh.

In the 2024 high school graduation exam, the 10 localities with the highest average math scores in the country were Nam Dinh, Binh Duong, Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Hai Phong. This is the third consecutive year that Hanoi has fallen out of the top 10.

The analysis of the national high school graduation exam score distribution in mathematics in 2024 shows that 1,045,643 candidates participated. The average score is 6.45 points, higher than in 2023. The median score this year is also higher than last year at 6.8 points.

The highest score achieved by most candidates was 7.6 points, similar to last year.

The number of candidates with a score of 1 or lower was 76 (accounting for 0.007%); the number of candidates with a score below average was 182,930 (accounting for 17.494%). These two indexes are lower than last year.

Notably, this year no candidate scored 10 in math and 14 candidates scored 0 points. Meanwhile, in 2023, 12 candidates scored 10 points and only 2 candidates scored 0 points.
