After knowing the scores, candidates have 10 days to submit an application for a review of their exam if they wish, by July 26 at the latest. The results of the high school graduation recognition will be announced on July 21.

From July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, candidates can register, adjust, and add unlimited university admission wishes. From July 22 to 5:00 p.m. on July 31, candidates applying for direct admission can confirm their admission on the system (if any).

From July 31 to 5:00 p.m. on August 6, candidates pay admission fees according to the number of admission wishes online, following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 19, training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission and before 5:00 p.m. on August 27, candidates will confirm their admission online for the first round on the system.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of candidates registered for the high school graduation exam this year is more than 1,071,000, an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to last year. Of these, the number of independent candidates is 46,978, accounting for 4.38%. The total number of candidates registered for exemption from the foreign language exam is 66,927, accounting for 6.25%.

This year, only 37% of candidates chose the Natural Science exam, while the remaining 63% chose the Social Science exam. Compared to last year, the number of candidates choosing the Social Science exam increased and is the highest since 2017.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the exam took place safely, with no negative phenomena, organized cheating or use of high-tech equipment recorded nationwide. Thirty candidates violated exam regulations and were suspended from the exam for bringing documents and phones into the room.

So far, there has only been a suspicion that the literature issue was leaked on social media right before the exam day. However, the Ministry of Education and Training has confirmed that there was no leak. The fact that someone guessed the work correctly was “coincidental”, because for the literature subject, if the question was leaked, both the excerpt and the question would have to be the same.

Immediately after receiving this information, the Ministry of Public Security also searched and found the person who spread the leaked information. This person admitted to having fabricated the false information and pledged to voluntarily remove it.

This year's exam questions are all considered suitable for candidates. The exam content is in the high school curriculum, mainly the 12th grade curriculum. Commenting on the questions, although in different subjects, most teachers gave similar comments, that as long as candidates have a solid grasp of the knowledge in the textbooks, they can easily get a score of 6-7.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong affirmed that the exam questions are increasingly oriented towards developing capacity, with increasing differentiation, so that schools with high requirements can still use high school exam results as a basis for admission.

Currently, 65% of universities still use the results of the high school graduation exam for admission, thus reducing costs for students, especially those in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas who do not have many opportunities to take the exam, and can apply to many universities.
