Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari, 21 years old, from Indonesia, surpassed 55 contestants to be crowned Miss Cosmo 2024 in Vietnam on the evening of October 5.
The new beauty queen received a cash prize of more than two billion VND and many work contracts. The moment the MC announced her name as the winner, many viewers cheered and congratulated her.
Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari from Bali, 1.73 m tall, was the second runner-up of Miss Puteri Indonesia 2024. She said she has a passion for fashion and has supported sustainable tourism for many years. The beauty queen is studying fashion design and is also a professional model in her home country.
In the final round, she competed in swimsuit, evening gown, question and answer, and presentation for the top 2.
Over the past month at the competition, Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari has shown a steady performance, receiving high praise from international beauty sites. Sash Factor once ranked her as the most outstanding performer at the Hello Cosmo From Vietnam event in September. Before the final, Missosology ranked her third in the prediction table.
The organizers only awarded the runner-up title to Mook Karnruethai Tassabut, a Thai, instead of choosing the top 3 like other international beauty contests. Contestant Xuan Hanh stopped at the top 5.
The final lasted nearly three hours with a vibrant atmosphere, broadcast on AXN channel.
Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa hosted the competition night with MC Duc Bao. The highlight of the stage was the musical performances by Jmi Ko - Korean violinist, singer Shontell, Ho Ngoc Ha. Many audiences from Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia came to Ho Chi Minh City to cheer on the contestants.
Miss Cosmo is a beauty pageant organized by the domestic Organizing Committee, aiming to find modern and influential girls. For nearly a month, international contestants have had activities in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Lam Dong, and Long An.
The jury includes Ms. Paula Shugart - former President of Miss Universe, Mr. Pham Quang Vinh - former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, George Chien - President of KC Global Media and beauties Harnaaz Sandhu (Miss Universe 2021), H'Hen Nie (Top 5 Miss Universe 2018), Kim Duyen (2nd Runner-up Miss Supranational 2022).
