MU closes sale of Casemiro for 30 million pounds

Casemiro was initially named on the FA Cup final bench but was left out at the last minute after picking up an injury during the warm-up.

Although MU won the championship, the Brazilian star appeared with a less than happy face. Casemiro did not participate in the celebration party organized by the club, instead he immediately boarded a plane to go on vacation with his family.

According to the British media, the Ineos board met in recent days and will announce the decision to sell Casemiro to the 32-year-old midfielder's representative.

Currently, a series of big teams in Saudi Arabia want Casemiro's services, including Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli.

MU believe they can collect a transfer fee of 30 million pounds for the above deal, less than half the 70 million pounds when bringing Casemiro from Real two years ago.

To convince the Brazilian player to play football in the Middle East, clubs in the Saudi Pro League will offer Casemiro an attractive salary, higher than the £350,000 he receives per week at MU.

According to Sportsmail, the midfielder felt hurt when coach Ten Hag left him out of the FA Cup final squad. The 54-year-old coach told the media that Casemiro was not at 100% fitness.

If Casemiro leaves Old Trafford, MU will save a significant amount of salary costs, because he is receiving the highest salary at the club.
