Conflict, brother stabbed brother to death then went to the police to confess

On December 7, the Investigation Police Agency of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province Police announced that the unit has just issued a decision to prosecute and issue an arrest warrant for Mai Hong Phai (36 years old, residing in Long Hai town, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) to investigate the crime of murder, according to Article 123 of the Penal Code.

The above decision and order have been approved by the People's Procuracy at the same level.

According to the investigation, Mai Hong Phai and Mai Van T. (31 years old) are siblings living in the same house at group 11, Hai Phong 1 quarter, Long Hai town, Long Dien district.

At around 1:30 p.m. on December 2, MVT came home from hanging out with his friends and Phai stood inside the house telling T.'s friend not to hang out with his younger brother anymore. At that time, thinking that his brother was talking badly about him, T. picked up two wooden sticks and placed them in the yard and chased him to beat him.

Being chased, Phai went around the back of the house to get a Thai knife to deal with T. There, T. took a stick and hit Phai on the forehead and jaw, causing injuries. Phai rushed forward with a knife and stabbed T. twice in the chest and right shoulder, then the two continued to chase and fight in the street in front of the house.

When T. fell down on the street, Phai continued to run with the knife and stabbed him in the chest. When he got up and ran about 50 meters, T. collapsed on the street and died.

After that, Phai went to Long Hai town police station, Long Dien district to confess and admit his actions.

Autopsy results determined that Mr. T. died from three wounds to the right chest, arm, and neck, causing a punctured lung and acute blood loss.
