Man Utd keep Ten Hag

On the evening of June 11, British media simultaneously reported that Man Utd's leadership decided to let Erik Ten Hag continue to lead the team next season. According to the newspaperDaily Mail, evaluating the 2023-2024 season, came to the conclusion that the current coach is the most suitable person for the job. Man Utd also considered candidates such as Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank, or Mauricio Pochettino.

Transfer journalists David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano also reported that Man Utd will keep Ten Hag. In the near future, the club and the coach may negotiate a contract extension that expires in June 2025.

Last season, Man Utd finished eighth in the Premier League, eliminated from the Champions League group stage and the fourth round of the League Cup. However, Ten Hag's team caused a surprise when they defeated Man City, who had just won their fourth consecutive Premier League, 2-1 in the FA Cup final. The Dutch coach won the title for two consecutive seasons for Man Utd, something that had not happened since the time of former coach Alex Ferguson. In the 2022-2023 season, Ten Hag's team won the League Cup and finished third in the Premier League.
