Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival recreates ancient cultural and religious activities, contributing to recreating a land that has gone down in history with the saying 'First Kinh Ky, second Pho Hien'.
On the evening of February 17, in Hung Yen City (Hung Yen), the Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival opened with an art performance program themed "Three rivers in harmony, the essence shines".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hung Yen City People's Committee Nguyen Kha Phuc said that Pho Hien in the past - Hung Yen City today, a land of "spiritual land and talented people" is likened to a "Little Trang An", second only to Thang Long "First Kinh Ky - second Pho Hien" with a long history of culture, heroic tradition of fighting foreign invaders, building the country associated with many heroes.
Coming to the Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival 2025, people and tourists will be able to visit the cultural space imbued with spiritual and historical values about the origin of Pho Hien land, enjoy the sophistication and richness of art forms bearing the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people in general and the Red River Delta in particular.
Visitors can also enjoy the beauty of natural values and architecture, art bearing the mark of a place in the prosperous urban period that has gone down in history and left for Pho Hien - Hung Yen City today.
Through many ups and downs of history, Pho Hien - Hung Yen City still preserves and maintains 200 historical, cultural and architectural relics (including 1 special national relic site, 20 national-level relics) with many unique architectural styles interwoven from the East and the West.
Notably, many relics are still preserved, retaining all their originality from architectural art to historical values fully representing the dynasties from Dinh, Ly, Tran, Hau Le, Nguyen such as: May Temple (Dinh Dynasty), Hien Pagoda (Ly Dynasty), Tan La Temple, Kim Dang Temple (Le Dynasty), Thien Hau Temple (Later Le Dynasty), Tran Temple, Mau Temple (Nguyen Dynasty)...
Along with that, Hung Yen City also restores, preserves, transmits and organizes many traditional folk festivals held annually at relics.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival is held in association with relics and the restoration of ancient cultural and religious activities, contributing to recreating a land that has gone down in history with the song "First Kinh Ky, second Pho Hien".
The Pho Hien Folk Culture Festival is not only an occasion to review traditions but also a bridge between the past and the present, so that generations will love and be proud of their homeland, together witnessing a modern Pho Hien that both preserves valuable heritages and constantly develops to integrate with the flow of time.
