Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei addressed students on November 2 ahead of the anniversary of the country's hardline student seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979, shortly after the Islamic Revolution.

Mr Khamenei said that the enemy, whether Israel or the US, would surely receive a “crushing response” for what they were doing to Iran, the Iranian people and the resistance front.

Khamenei added that Iran has fully prepared military, political and logistical measures to counter "global arrogance", a term Iranian officials use to refer to the US and its allies.

Iran's supreme leader also called on his people to fight against "global arrogance" decisively.

Earlier on October 27, the IRNA news agency posted a video showing Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei speaking to a crowd, saying that Israel's attack in the early morning of October 26 should neither be taken lightly nor exaggerated.

According to Iran's Supreme Leader, Israel has made a mistake in its calculations regarding Iran and Iran's response to Israel should be determined by its officials.

“What is most beneficial for the people and the country should be done,” Khamenei stressed.

This is the first time Iran's Supreme Leader has spoken out after the attack by more than 100 Israeli fighter jets on October 26.

On November 1, an adviser to Mr. Khamenei said Tehran may increase the range of its ballistic missiles and may review its nuclear doctrine amid rising tensions with Israel.

Khamenei's adviser also noted that although Iran has the technical ability to produce nuclear weapons, it is currently constrained by a religious decree issued in the early 2000s.

In the early morning of October 26, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out “Operation Days of Repentance” with the participation of more than 100 fighter jets including advanced F-35 stealth fighters.

On social network X, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that Israel has mobilized all its defense and attack capabilities to carry out "Operation Days of Repentance" in response to the continuous attacks by Iran.

According to Mr. Hagari, Iran and its proxies have been continuously attacking Israel since October 7, 2023 on seven fronts, including direct attacks from Iranian territory.
