In order to praise President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam-Laos friendship, on the afternoon of October 29 in the capital Vientiane, the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos coordinated with the Vietnam Drama Theater to organize an artistic exchange to foster the special Vietnam-Laos relationship.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos; representatives of agencies affiliated to the Embassy and a large number of Vietnamese and Lao people living and working in the capital Vientiane.
At the exchange, artists from the Vietnam Drama Theater and artists from the Lao National College of Arts performed art pieces praising the Vietnam-Laos friendship, praising President Ho Chi Minh, and introducing and promoting the country and people of Vietnam.
In particular, the play"Bright Eyes"by author Thien An, directed by Meritorious Artist Ta Tuan Minh, set on the last day of New Year's Eve of Binh Than Spring 1956 at the School for Disabled War Veterans in Hanoi, left a deep impression.
There are stories of soldiers and wounded comrades who lost their eyes while fighting to protect the peace of the Vietnamese people. The wounded soldiers thought that losing their eyes meant losing everything.
And felt very hopeless and depressed. That same night, Uncle Ho visited the school to talk to the wounded soldiers and he said, "Wounded soldiers are disabled but not useless." Following the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho, after 1956, the wounded soldiers of the school launched the Flag Movement to enter production, study and social activities.
The play praises humanity, comradeship, and comradeship of soldiers, with tears, smiles, and finally love, and humane feelings that remain. All are full of compassion, altruism, and above all, the sacrifice, humanity, and nobility of the Vietnamese people.

Nguyen Thi Ly, a student at Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School, shared that she felt very moved because this was a good and meaningful play. Through the play, she realized the lesson that no matter what you are like, you must always move forward, keep going and not give up.
I hope that today's generations should work together towards greater goals to help build the country as well as foster the friendship between the two countries to become increasingly closer and stronger.
Mr. Le Quang Dao, the actor portraying President Ho Chi Minh - the respected leader of Vietnam, said that in this cultural exchange, he wanted to inspire the young generations of Vietnam and Laos with good messages, that is, to work well, to contribute well to promote the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Laos to become closer, stronger and better.
