On May 16, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and the Department of Education and Training to inspect traffic safety and order at a number of schools with signs "Traffic safety school gate".
Hai Duong City currently maintains 65 "Traffic Safety School Gate" models.
The delegation randomly inspected 6 "Traffic Safety School Gate" models in Hai Duong City and Gia Loc District.
As a result, the 6 models inspected all met the criteria of "Traffic-safe school gates". There were no people occupying the roadway or sidewalk to sell goods at the school gate area, no street vendors; there were forces to guide and remind students and parents at the school gate at the time of arrival and dismissal; there were no parents occupying the roadway or sidewalk to park their vehicles, causing traffic insecurity.
The delegation will continue to inspect the "Traffic Safety School Gate" models in the remaining districts, towns and cities in the province until May 18.
The “Traffic Safety School Gate” model was launched by the Central Youth Union in 2012. Up to now, the whole province has established and maintained nearly 500 traffic safety school gates and is being effectively deployed in schools.
