Both the interior and exterior of the Kia Sonet facelift have been thoroughly upgraded.
Kia Sonet is among the top-selling cars of its parent brand in many regions, including Vietnam.
In the last days of November, Kia India has just confirmed the launch date of the facelift version of its flagship small SUV Kia Sonet.
Specifically, this upgrade will be announced by them on December 14. This is a large-scale mid-life update for the first generation of Sonet launched in September 2020.
In recent months, both the interior and exterior of the Korean SUV have been fully revealed, showing significant changes in design.
At the front of the car, this area is equipped with a new front bumper and headlight cluster. The outer interface of the cluster has not changed but now extends down to the front bumper. The design of the daytime running lights and the fog lights inside have also been reworked.
Depending on the market and equipment configuration, the front bumper design and accompanying central air vent of the Kia Sonet 2025 will be different.
The exterior of the car has changed quite clearly with the most clearly updated exterior lights.
The side of the Kia Sonet 2025 has not been changed except for the new alloy wheel option. At the rear, the previous horizontal taillights have been changed to a vertical interface. At the same time, a horizontal light bar connecting the two clusters of lights here has been added. A little below, the rear bumper is now noticeably thicker.
The interior of the 2025 Kia Sonet, according to test photos, has slight changes in the air conditioning control system. In front of the driver, there is also a new digital dashboard similar to the Venue.
The interior of the 2025 Sonet promises to be much more modern thanks to a screen array similar to the Hyundai Venue.
In terms of powertrain, the 2025 Kia Sonet is expected to retain its current configuration. The car is equipped with a 1.2L 83 horsepower/115Nm engine with a 5-speed manual transmission in the standard version. The higher-end gasoline option is a 1.0L turbocharged 120 horsepower/172Nm with a 6-speed smart manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
A diesel engine option is also available, the 1.5L 116 horsepower/250Nm with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
The safety equipment on the Kia Sonet 2025 may be updated quite significantly. The car is expected to have 6 default airbags. Advanced driver assistance features are promised to be similar to the new Venue such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Adaptive High Beams, Lane Keeping Assist or Driver Fatigue Warning.
With technology and safety upgrades, the price of the Kia Sonet 2025 is expected to increase slightly compared to the current starting reference price of 227.1 million VND.
