Businesses collecting and treating household waste in Hai Duong province have implemented many solutions to ensure thorough waste collection during the Lunar New Year.
According to representatives of many waste collection and treatment enterprises in the province such as APT - Seraphin Hai Duong Environmental Joint Stock Company in Thanh Ha district, Chi Linh Transport, Environment and Urban Joint Stock Company, Minh Phuc Green Environment Joint Stock Company in Ke Sat town (Binh Giang), Hai Duong Urban Environment Joint Stock Company... from December 23 to December 30, especially on days close to Tet, the amount of household waste increased sharply from 20 - 40% compared to normal days.
To ensure thorough collection and no waste left over during the day, businesses have implemented many solutions. Specifically, such as increasing and mobilizing maximum human resources to collect and process waste; adding additional garbage collection hours on the 30th of Tet, adding more collection vehicles such as carts, pushcarts, and garbage trucks; extending the garbage collection time for each shift by 1-2 hours; increasing the frequency of collection trips.
