Opening of the first Hai Duong province cross-country race "Cultural Heritage Connection Journey" in 2024

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of departments, branches and localities; sponsors and nearly 1,000 athletes from the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi and provinces and cities across the country.

Also attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Physical Training and Sports; a delegation from Suwon City (Korea); and representatives of leaders from neighboring provinces and cities.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung emphasized that on this occasion, Hai Duong not only exchanges, learns, and develops the sports movement but also has the opportunity to introduce to domestic and international friends the beauty of Hai Duong's land and people; the potential and strengths of socio-economic development; the outstanding global value of the Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site in the process of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac being considered by UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage site. The presence of delegates, distinguished guests, athlete delegations and all the people at the "Journey of connecting cultural heritage" Cross-country race has shown their affection, care and love for Hai Duong province. Hopefully, delegates and tourists will continue to stay in Hai Duong, visit historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, craft villages, enjoy traditional art forms, unique cuisine... to gain more understanding and attachment to their homeland Hai Duong.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee warmly welcomed international guests; representatives of ministries, departments and central agencies; representatives of other provinces and cities; delegations of athletes, referees, reporters... and a large number of fans and tourists from all over the country to attend the opening ceremony. Hai Duong is very honored and proud to welcome delegates and distinguished guests to the sacred land, talented people, rich in historical traditions, culture and martial spirit. The cross-country race "Journey of connecting cultural heritage" is one of the outstanding and key activities of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival in 2024, aiming to connect the two relics of Con Son and Kiep Bac, belonging to the special national relic complex of Con Son - Kiep Bac.

The Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee wished the athletes to achieve the highest results, setting new records in the sports spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility - Progress"; wished the Organizing Committee and the referees, supervisors to run the tournament fairly, objectively and accurately.

The “Journey to Connect Cultural Heritage” cross-country race is the first race to be held on the largest scale in Hai Duong, attracting nearly 1,000 athletes. Among them are many high-class athletes such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, 4 gold medalists of SEA Games 32...

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes entered the 5 km race.

As a result, Luong Duc Phuoc, Vietnam team finished first in this distance.
