Subaru has turned the WRX STI into a limited production version with 500 units globally instead of mass production like the previous generation.
After nearly 4 years of launching the 2nd generation WRX, Subaru has officially launched the "true" high-performance version WRX STI S210, instead of just upgrading some exterior equipment as the company has done in the past.
The car is developed based on the Subaru WRX S4 STI Sport R EX variant. More specifically, Subaru has turned the WRX STI into a limited production version with 500 units worldwide instead of mass production like the previous generation.
This limited edition sports car inherits technology from the Subaru WRX STI NBR Challenge, which competes in races such as the Nurburgring 24 Hours.
The front bumper is more aggressive than the STI Sport versions. The grille and aerodynamic details are painted in Crystal Black Silica and Cherry Red.
The front lights are equipped with Full-LED technology for both high and low beam modes, while the fog lights are separate. In particular, Subaru has added decorative LED strips to the front air vents.
This version is equipped with standard 19-inch STI Flexible Performance Wheel from BBS brand, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Controlling the car's power is a Brembo brake system painted red with the STI logo, the brake disc sizes on the front and rear axles are 18 inches and 17 inches respectively.
To optimize performance, the exhaust system has also been upgraded with a muffler mechanism, larger diameter exhaust ports as well as a new exhaust chamber, helping to reduce back pressure during operation.
The rear diffuser has also been redesigned for a more aerodynamic look. Subaru also added an F1-style emergency brake light to this position.
The heart of the Subaru WRX STI S210 is still a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder boxer engine, producing a maximum capacity of 300 horsepower and maximum torque of 375 Nm.
The actual version's performance specifications have yet to be announced. The company only said the car's dimensions are 4,690 x 1,845 x 1,465 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,675 mm.
The dry weight of this sports car is around 1,630 kg. The Prototype version of the WRX STI S210 was introduced at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon.
