Coach Park Hang-seo officially becomes senior advisor of Bac Ninh FC

Sharing about the opportunity to join Bac Ninh FC, Mr. Park Hang-seo said that he had never worked as an advisor before and did not know much about this job. When he received the proposal to become a senior advisor for Bac Ninh FC, he refused the club's invitation. However, after meeting with the leaders of Bac Ninh province, he saw the vision and plan for football development of Bac Ninh province as well as Bac Ninh FC, so he decided to become a senior advisor for Bac Ninh FC.

With this new role, Mr. Park Hang-seo believes that the technical aspects are already taken care of by the Board of Directors and the Team Coach, and he will not be in charge of technical issues. From his own experience and abilities, he will think and orient Bac Ninh FC to have the right and strong development direction in the future, helping Bac Ninh FC not only become a famous team in Vietnam but also famous globally.

At the program, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province Trinh Huu Hung said: The mass sports movement and high-performance sports of Bac Ninh province have made many remarkable developments, currently ranking 16th out of 65 provinces and cities. Historically, the locality once had the Ha Bac Police Football Team, established in the early 80s of the 20th century and participated in the National Championship in 1989 - the highest tournament of Vietnamese football. However, when Bac Ninh - Bac Giang provinces were re-separated (in 1996), the football team was disbanded.

To meet the requirements and tasks of developing high-performance sports, meeting the needs of the masses and fans, and at the same time concretizing the "Project for developing men's football in Bac Ninh province, towards 2030" approved by the Provincial People's Committee, Bac Ninh FC Football Team was established.

The participation of Bac Ninh FC in the 2024 National Second Division Football Tournament is an important step forward, marking a turning point for Bac Ninh sports. This tournament takes place from March 28 to June 17, 2024 with the participation of 14 teams divided into two groups to compete in the qualifying round. The teams compete in a two-round round robin format to select the top two teams in each group to enter the final round and be promoted to the next season.
