The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea announced on September 5 that three car manufacturers in South Korea, including BMW, Volvo and Hyundai, are having to return a total of 78,218 vehicles of 67 models to their workshops for repair due to technical errors.

BMW Korea will return 68,428 vehicles of 62 models, including the BMW 520i, to its workshop for repair due to a possible reduction in braking performance due to a defect in the integrated braking system, according to a report by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea.

Meanwhile, Volvo will return 6,998 vehicles of four models, including FH tractors, to the workshop for repair due to a design defect in the variable axle control system.

Hyundai Motor will also take corrective measures on 2,792 Genesis Coupes due to a defect in the clutch pedal, which can cause the car to start and move even without pressing the pedal.
